Terms of Service
These terms apply when a merchant (you) uses Verilo, which is provided by Bailee Satie trading as Verilo, an Australian sole trader, ABN to be added (we). By installing Verilo on your Shopify store or using it, you agree to them. Version 2026-10-04.
1. What Verilo does
Verilo lets you send a customer who reports a damaged item a link to show the item live on their phone, and gives you a Result (Verified, Needs Review or Unable to Verify) that describes the evidence captured. A Result is information to help you decide. It is not a decision about the claim or about the customer, and you decide every claim yourself.
2. Your account
You need a Shopify store to use Verilo. You are responsible for the people you let use Verilo for your store and for keeping access to your Shopify and helpdesk accounts secure.
3. Using Verilo properly
You will use Verilo only to check claims about orders from your store, tell your customers about the check in your own privacy policy, and comply with the laws that apply to you, including privacy law. You will not use Verilo to harass or discriminate against anyone, or try to break, copy or overload it.
4. Customer data
Our Privacy Policy (verilo.app/privacy) explains how we handle personal information, and our Data Processing Agreement (verilo.app/dpa), which you accept in the dashboard, governs how we handle your customers' data for you. It forms part of these terms.
5. Fees
The plans, their prices and the verifications each includes every month are shown on verilo.app and in your dashboard, and are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, monthly or yearly. There are no charges per extra verification: when a month's verifications are used, new verification links pause until the next month or until you change plan. A store's first subscription starts with a free trial; changing plan does not start a new one. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price of your plan. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires.
6. Our service
We work to keep Verilo available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every Result is correct. We may change features; we will tell you before removing one you rely on.
7. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for failing to meet such a guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make about claims, and our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Ending
You can stop at any time by uninstalling Verilo from your Shopify store; billing stops through Shopify. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously breach these terms. After you leave, we handle your data as our Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement describe.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its date and email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you materially takes effect.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia have jurisdiction.
